Thank you for visiting San Diego Core Fitness' Nutrition Blog. We would like to start by introducing our in house nutritionist Rachel Bowman. Rachel’s background is in both Clinical and Holistic Nutrition, which gives her a broad understanding of current nutritional research and trends. She has most recently been finding great success in her weight loss and lifestyle coaching specialties at San Diego Core Fitness. Partnering with Owner and Personal Trainer Justin Fassio, together they help members achieve realistic exercise, health and wellness goals through their Core Complete Program.
Over the past 8 years, Rachel’s academic and clinical career has focused on weight management for both adults and children, digestive health, diabetes, dining out, healthy eating while traveling, corporate nutrition, healthy body composition, and nutrition for exercise and sports. Her love of fitness and sports has helped her create various professional affiliations with both professional athletes and key athletic trainers.
Rachel has been a health and sports enthusiast throughout her life with a special passion for the water, which led her to competitive swimming and a 3-year title of British Columbia’s Provincial Swimming Champion.
Rachel’s mission is to provide the best, most scientifically accurate nutritional information through specific, personalized plans oriented to help meet her client's short and long-term nutrition, wellness, and lifestyle goals.
